I will refer in this humble document to the subtle and veiled messages Gabriel Garcia Marquez uses in his paper “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings”. By going through this story and based on some passages from the Holy Bible, we can catch on the intentions of this Colombian writer of bringing discredit not only on the Catholic Church, but also on Jesus Christ and the Scriptures. I will mention, then, some of the pieces of information this writer mentions in his paper and then I will compare and relate them to what the Scripture says.
